Linda Linda LindaLinda Blair was five years old when she became the youngest child actor to appear in The Exorcist. She had been a model for three years before she acted as the child-possessed Regan. Linda Blair quickly rose to fame and won her first Golden Globe. She was scheduled to be awarded an Academy Award. But when it was revealed that certain of her parts were dubbed and that a stunt-dummy played only eight seconds of the film, her dream ended in a shambles. Over the next few years Linda was not a problem securing leading roles in a variety of film productions, such as the hugely successful TV films Born Innocent (1974) (the most watched TV show that year) as well as Sarah T. - Portrait of a Teenage Alcoholic (1975), as well as her role in the Exorcist sequel Exorcist II: The Heretic (1977). In 1977, she purchased cocaine on social pressure when she was 18, this led to her arrest and sentence of three years' probation. The much-publicized drug bust caused Linda to be blacklisted in Hollywood and her acting film career soon slowed down to B-movies and occasional television appearances as a guest
